3 Breathing Exercises to Reduce Stress
Bee Breaths Also called Brahmari, this exercise makes a humming noise.
Inhale normally
When you exhale, simply hum, or let your lips buzz gently.
Notice the vibrations and where they happen in your body as you continue humming for 10 breaths.
Head Roll Breaths Performing this exercise will help release tension and can help with headaches.
With your chin parallel to the ground, inhale normally
As you exhale, drop your chin to your chest.
Breathe slowly and deeply for three rounds
Continue to breathe deeply as you roll your neck in one direction. Continue for 3 circles.
Change directions and roll in 3 more slow circles.
4-7-8 Breaths This breathing exercise requires practice and concentration which makes it great for reducing stress or to help you fall asleep. Don’t worry too much about making your counts perfect. Your lung capacity will expand as you practice this regularly.
Inhale for 4 counts
- Hold your breath for 7 counts
- 3.Exhale for 8 counts
