Talking can make all the difference

It might feel awkward. You might not know what you say. You could be worried what they will think about you; or scared they will treat you differently. Maybe you don’t even want to talk about it. But the truth is, talking to someone when you’re depressed can literally save your life.

Many people’s reaction when they are overwhelmed, discouraged or depressed is to try and hide it. Society and the media have trained us to believe that being happy is a good thing and emotions like sadness, and hurt are something to suppress, not discuss. But emotions are normal and the social stigma against depression is breaking down. When you talk about how you feel with someone, it gives those emotions a voice. How you feel matters. You matter.

ForeverGreen representatives join this organization for many reasons, but a large one is because they want to be a part of something. They want to be part of a family that cares. Your ForeverGreen team is meant to be a support for you, not just for your business, but for your personal needs too. If you need someone to talk to, reach out to your team. You might be surprised to find that someone else is experiencing emotions and challenges similar to yours. They might need you as much as you need them.

September is World Suicide Prevention Month. At ForeverGreen, we acknowlege that suicide impacts everyone. Whether you’ve lost someone to suicide or you’ve comtemplated suicide, we stand by you. We honor you and your struggle. You are not alone.
